As an IC Design Specialist at EnSilica you will need a broad range of experience including System Level Design, specification writing, RTL coding of modules, functional verification and implementation ( synthesis, timing closure, DFT, logical equivalence etc).
You will have a proven track record of delivering a number of high complexity FPGA designs as either a senior engineer or Technical Lead. We are particularly interested if you have experience in implementing complex high speed systems in the latest generation of Xilinx Virtex and/or Altera Stratix FPGAs.
You should also have experience of at least one full ASIC development cycle in a senior role, with a good understanding of the whole ASIC design flow, tools and methodologies to achieve success on complex SoC designs.
In addition to your technical skills you need to demonstrate strong leadership skills, an ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders and the self-motivation and determination to deliver a successful project. Your specific skills will be :
• RTL Design (vhdl or verilog) - ability to write high quality code to agreed coding standards.
• Functional verification – ideally a good knowledge of SystemVerilog and the use of techniques such as assertions and coverage driven verification.
• Experience of complex FPGA devices (Altera / Xilinx / Actel ) and tool flows
• SoC knowledge – including the selection and integration of 3rd party IP
• ASIC implementation skills ( synthesis, DFT, timing closure, tapeout etc)
• Applications knowledge in Communications, Multimedia or high speed networking
• Implementation of high speed interfaces such as PCI-express, 1GB/10GB Ethernet, RapidIO and memory interfacing DDR2/DDR3 etc
• Good engineering degree or equivalent
