“EnSilica launch new website”
7th October 2009: EnSilica are proud to unveil their new website today. “The website is a key component of our marketing strategy as we continue to increase awareness of EnSilica within our target customer base and grow the business” said Ian Lankshear, Managing Director.
The new website provides comprehensive information about EnSilica and the IC design services on offer. In addition, it provides information on the portfolio of Communications IP (eSi-Comms) and embedded processor IP (eSi-RISC), with the ability to download all key documentation directly from the site.
EnSilica appoints new Technical Director
6th July 2009: EnSilica today announced that David Wheeler has joined the company in the position of Technical Director. The expertise that David brings to the company, will further enhance EnSilica's capability within the Communications and multimedia application areas. Through the provision provision of System Level Design services EnSilica can provide a complete 'concept to silicon' service all from the one company.
David brings over 17 years experience in the simulation, design and testing of communication systems. He has worked on a range of products and technologies including GSM, WLAN, HomePlug and DVB for both start-up and blue-chip companies. He holds a BEng in Engineering Science from the University of Exeter and a PhD from Birmingham University.
“EnSilica appoints new Director of Projects”
26th January 2009: EnSilica today announced that Philip Faulkner has joined the company in the position of Director of Projects. In this strategic role Philip will manage current projects but also focus on developing relationships with target customers and driving business development and new design wins.
“This new role will provide improved continuity between the pre-sales process and project execution to ensure the key objectives of the project are delivered as planned” said Philip.
Philip brings over 20 years of experience working on SoC designs often with leading edge technologies using both ASIC and COT based design flows. He has extensive experience of supporting customer projects and understands the challenges and problems faced by companies undertaking IC developments in a competitive market.
Prior to joining EnSilica, Philip was ASIC design manager at DisplayLink, a leading innovator in computer display technology, and has held various engineering and management positions at global semiconductor companies (Nortel, Toshiba and LSI Logic) and start-ups. He holds a MBA and an Honours degree in Physics from the University of Southampton.
