High-integrity RISC-V MCU (EnSura™ EN52710)

The EnSura™ EN52710 Secure MCU combines a high-performance RISC-V processor with hardware Root-of-Trust operating within a Secure Island, extensive hardware enforced memory protections and CHERI secure RISC-V instruction set extensions to provide a real-time, high-integrity MCU capable of isolating execution of safety-certified and uncertified software simultaneously without cross-corruption risk for the first time on a single CPU.

The platform integrates EnSilica’s ‘eSi PQC’ Post-Quantum Cryptography for long-lifecycle quantum resilience. CHERI RISC-V instruction set extensions provide instruction-level hardware memory protection to containerize third-party code and remove vulnerabilities exploited by buffer overflow attacks. Eliminating the need for a dedicated security CPU significantly reduces product costs without compromising security or safety.

The combination of high-performance RISC-V CPU with on-chip protected memory enables EN52710 to executes high-speed, secure control loops alongside uncertified background analytics.

Developed to the ASIL-D and SIL-3 standards of ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 the EnSura™ EN52710 Secure MCU targets safety critical automotive applications such as motor control and suspension control, in addition to high-integrity industrial applications.

Targeting the demanding security benchmarks of PSA Level 3 and developed to the cybersecurity standards ISO/SAE 21434 and PSA the EnSura™ EN52710 Secure MCU provides a platform for a diverse range of security-critical applications from flight control for drones to critical national infrastructure (CNI) grids.

Equipped with 1Gb Ethernet and an extensive range of serial communications interfaces EN52710 can provide interfacing for emerging Zonal Control applications such as Software Defined Automotive.
